Verbier gives access to the 4 Valleys, the largest ski area in Switzerland: 72 ski lifts and 410 kilometres of slopes linking Verbier, La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon. The package is never included in a holiday rental: it is purchased separately, and the price paid varies greatly depending on the time and channel of purchase. Here are the current tariffs and the concrete ways to reduce them.
How much does a Verbier ski pass cost in 2026/27?
The price depends on three elements: the sector chosen, your year of birth and the date of purchase. In the entire 4 Vallées ski area, the adult day is priced at CHF 94, with an online rate starting at CHF 79.
- 4 Vallées – 72 lifts, 410 km of slopes: from CHF 79 for an adult day (CHF 94 at full price).
- Verbier – La Tzoumaz – 27 lifts: from CHF 65.– for an adult day.
- Bruson – 4 lifts, 25 km of slopes: from CHF 54.– for an adult day.
The age categories in the 4 Valleys, for one day: adult born between 1950 and 2001, CHF 94.–; young people born between 2002 and 2011, CHF 80; child born between 2012 and 2019, CHF 47.–. Children born in 2020 or later and people born before 1949 ski for free.
For a one-week stay, expect to pay from CHF 179 for two days and up to CHF 889 for fourteen days; the fifteen-day package is CHF 949, which is only slightly more than the fourteen-day package.
4 Vallées, Verbier – La Tzoumaz or Bruson: which sector to choose?
The 4 Vallées ski pass is not always the right calculation. Over a week of skiing, a skier who stays on the slopes of Verbier and Savoleyres rarely uses all the links to Nendaz and Thyon, which require a good half-day round trip.
The Verbier – La Tzoumaz sector is suitable for most family stays: it covers Médran, Les Ruinettes, Attelas, La Chaux and Savoleyres, i.e. most of the daily skiing, for about fifteen francs less per day. The Bruson sector, more confidential and accessible from Le Châble, is the best choice in poor visibility and for beginners: its forests remain skiable when the highlands are in the fog.
The practical rule: take the 4 Vallées if you ski for more than four days and want to go around the area; stay on Verbier – La Tzoumaz for a short stay or with children.
How to pay less for your ski pass?
There are four levers, all of which can be combined with an early accommodation reservation:
- Buy online at least ten days in advance : 10% discount on day and multi-day passes.
- Take advantage of the presale of annual season tickets : CHF 1,249 for an adult until 30 September 2026, compared to CHF 1,349 from 1 October to 30 November and CHF 1,499 from 1 December.
- The local rate : CHF 749 for an annual adult subscription for people living in the districts of Sierre, Sion, Hérens, Conthey, Martigny, Entremont, Saint-Maurice and Monthey, on presentation of a certificate of residence of less than one year.
- Group rate : 15% discount from fifteen people buying passes of the same duration.
For young people, the Mont4Card is aimed at 7 to 24 year olds: CHF 400 in advance for people born between 2002 and 2011, CHF 300 for those born between 2012 and 2019.
Annual subscription or day passes: from how many days is it profitable?
The math is simple and worth doing before you arrive. At the full price of CHF 94 per day, the annual adult pass purchased in advance at CHF 1,249 becomes profitable from fourteen days of skiing in the year. If you always buy your days online for CHF 79, the threshold rises to sixteen days. For a Valais resident benefiting from the domestic rate of CHF 749, it drops to eight days.
In other words: two weeks of skiing in the season are enough to justify the annual pass, and a single week is enough for a local resident. The annual pass also covers the winter of 2026/27 and the summer of 2027, as well as free days at partners such as Chamonix, the Portes du Soleil or Engelberg-Titlis.
When does the ski season in Verbier open?
The 2026/27 winter season is announced from 5 December 2026 to 25 April 2027 in the 4 Vallées area, subject to snow conditions. The sectors do not all open on the same day: Médran and Les Ruinettes start first, Bruson and the links to Nendaz follow depending on the snow. Annual subscriptions run from November 2026 to October 2027.
Does the VIP Pass replace the ski pass?
No. The VIP Pass is given free of charge to any guest staying at least one night in the Val de Bagnes and paying the tourist tax, but it is exclusively summery : it runs from 1 June to 31 October and gives access to certain sections of lifts for pedestrians, to the Val de Bagnes buses and to the Mondzeu swimming pool. In winter, you need a ski pass to use the lifts, even as a pedestrian.
Where to buy your ski pass in Verbier?
The most advantageous channel remains the official Verbier 4Vallées online store, which applies the 10% discount from ten days in advance and allows you to receive the support directly, without going through the checkout. The physical points of sale in Médran, Le Châble and Savoleyres remain open for last-minute purchases, at full price and often with waiting on Saturdays of rotation.
Our advice to our guests: book the accommodation first, then buy the packages right away, as soon as the dates are set. This is the time when the early discount is still available.
